No, the picture post isn't ready yet. Time is moving really really slow. I was excited to come home. Too bad it's really fucking cold. I don't want to go out. I feel like a blob. I went to the mall today and it made me wanna barf, and I don't want to go shopping downtown because I don't want to run into people I don't want to run into.
I miss living in my tent.

Texas was good. Not all good, but few things ever are.
I'm home for Christmas, and due to recent events and decisions, I'll be going back to Texas in the beginning of January. Then, in the beginning of February we're heading to Arizona.
I'm excited to go back, but DAMN that's one bitch of a drive. It takes like a day and a half, including sleeping for like 8 hours and stopping a couple times to eat.
I'm gonna go get my camera and make a picture post later.
Haven't done one of those in foreeeever.

And all the other holidays that happened since I last updated.
I've been busy, kinda, I guess.

I'm not leavin' on a midnight train to Georgia, but I am sure not gonna be back forever.
Summer will be full of saving money, doing fun free stuff.

So, here's an update on my life.
For the past seven weekends I have been working at the Rennaisance Festival, as I have every summer since I was sixteen. Also, during the week, I have been working at Barnes&Noble, and saving little bits and pieces of money along the way to do what I ended up doing last Sunday, which is move into an apartment with Albert in Rogers Park, neighborhood in Chicago with Lake Michigan as the Eastern border. I left late Sunday night, arrived at the apartment at 4:30AM, we brought in all the stuff from my car, parked it on the street, had to move it the next day when we went to Ikea, got a 50 dollar parking ticket, parked it in a parkable area. I was about to come home on Friday night to drop my car off in Detroit to get rid of it, and then have my mom bring me back the next day with some more furniture and stuff. So, Albert and I are walking to my car and I say:
"Wouldn't it be funny if my car was towed?"
It wasn't towed.
It was stolen.
HURRAY.
Of course it was. So I had a great night. Anyways, I start work tomorrow, I've been going crazy not having shit to do all week. And now I REALLY need something to take my mind off things. Oh, and someone hacked my Yahoo email. So I can't login on my computer OR my phone. I'm kind fo miserable, but hey, that's life.
Come and visit, We have a lot of room in our place, both because it is pretty big, and because we only have one piece of furniture.

So I basically don't use this anymore. But.
I am going to be away for two weeks from June 24th until July 9th or 10th. I am going to be a nanny-ish kinda person for the two most adorable kids ever. Also, I'm going to be in the woods. Recent updates to the place I will be include WIFI so I'll probably be on the internet a bit but hopefully not. Anyways, as always, I'm going to ask you guys to send me stuff while I'm there. A letter, a postcard, a picture of something fun that you guys are doing in D-town while I'm gone. It would be greatly appreciated.

here is the plan.
from now until june 20th, i am working at barnes & noble and actively looking for another part time job to fill the two days i don't work at b&n. from june 20th until the 4th of july i will be at circle pines being a nanny for ruth. after that i have until august 18th until the rennaisance festival starts. then i will have that on the weekends, and b&n hopefully the other five days of the week. all of this is over on September 30th and that is when i am moving to chicago with andrea. we are going to have a fun apartment and we are going to have too much fun and we are going to live life to the fullest and be real adults or something.
so yeah i need some second job...hmmmmmmm.
oh and andrea and i have a big trick up our sleeve, and it may be revealed on june 2nd. hehehe. more uninformative hints coming later. |

My sleep schedule is so incredibly ruined.
Saturday morning I had to be at Sarah's at 5:30, and Andrea and I were up until 2-ish watching Spice World. So we got there and I did her hair, then we went over to Andrea's and watched the Legend of Zorro. Then when Andrea went to work I went home and ended up sleeping all day. Then I picked up Andrea from work, hung out, and then we went to the Frustrations show at the Magic Stick. 'Twas good fun, and now Andrea and I find ourselves on our laptops in her living room watching Bewitched. And I have to be at work at 8.
In other news, Andrea, Sarah, and I are going to Chicago on Thursday (actually Wednesday night) and it's gonna be fun fun fun fun fun.
I'm so excited.

I am happy. Not because my life is where I want it to be, but because I know where I want it to be and I believe I am capable of getting there.
I will be moving to Chicago in October.
Until then, I am working ta Barnes&Noble, trying to find a second job a couple days a week for the two days I don't work at Barnes&Noble. Then in the summer I am working the rennaisance festival(s)(maybe plural, I don't know yet). Durning this time I'm going to be putting away money, planning my life, and going to Chicago once a month. Whenever the Faire is over, I'm leaving. Andrea and I are going to live in a modest apartment with adorable things and amazing parties. We've already started shopping for it. That is how real it is.

SO. I'm back.
As some of you may soon notice, I did not send any postcards. It was kind of a crazy trip, I didn't even write anything in my journal the last three or four days we were gone. HOWEVER, I'm you're all still going to get something, and you may like it even more than a plain old store-bought postcard--so still be expecting something in the next week.
SO I've been pretty tired for a long time...and now I can't sleep. DUH.
Tomorrow I'm picking up Sarah from school at 10:40 and then we're going to Leo's so if you want to, you should come too and I will be sure to yap about the trip. |
